Wow! I am surprised anyone has anything negative to say about this! Talk about seeing the glass half full! I have seen this before, several times, and absolutely love it every time! I say kudos to Jessica’s parents! The energy in the room goes up every time I play this! I tend to think the naysayers are thinking too deeply and not taking this at face value. ‘Say something positive’, and ‘be happy’, seem to be the simple message. FYI – Give More and ‘smoving’ rock!!! LOL

LOVE this girl. As children, we all have the belief that we are powerful, capable, dynamic, intelligent and strong, until adults beat it out of us. And it’s all about belief.

Leave it to the Profs to throw cold water on something fun and hopeful. Sure, you’re right.
However, a postive outlook is more of what we need.
Hope Jessica keeps her ‘can do’ attitude!

Sorry, kids. Research has demonstrated that high self-esteem isn’t actually related to success at all – but it IS related to narcissism. “I can do anything better than anybody” isn’t really a good mantra for a child to learn. How about “I can learn a lot!” Jessica has been tainted by America’s recent obsession with thinking we’re great even when we’re not (American students rate themselves high on math skills, South Koreans rate themselves average or poor – but the SKoreans kick our students’ asses regularly in math performance. Is it really good to think you’re better than everyone at something when you’re not?).
She’s a cute little girl, and I hope her parents are able to restrain her “inner voice” when she’s a teenage girl telling them she can do anything she wants and is better than everyone. That’s not so cute anymore, is it?
Wish she’d be the next Prime Minister ……. move over Julia Gillard (AUST)

Having a three-year old at home, I really wouldn’t want them balancing and dancing around on the bathroom sink. No amount of positive affirmation will overcome a head trauma from a fall.

I like that Jessica took the moment to announce her choice in life. She will be successful as long as she continues the best practices in life. Being good, be focus, ignore the negative. Go Jess!

There ARE days I can get myself up like Jess (NOT on the counter, however!) When I can’t think of anything right off the bat, I start with a smile. You’d be surprised how often the thoughts and words start up after seeing yourself smile at the world. Add the words “You can do it” as you’re looking at yourself – and the world is yours for the taking…

Positive attitudes are natural. We are born with winning spirits.
Negative attitudes and losing is learned.
